the great potato dumpling ravioli experiment..... was a flop :-(

I came, I saw, I was defeated. Richard's recipe makes about the best potato dumplings ever and sooo easy you could make them daily.

as for trying to use the dough for ravioli, it is just to dry and crumbly to roll out or even press thin enough in your hand. I made a mushroom filling and did manage to make a few "ravioli balls" but they were nothing to write home about, even with the gorganzola cream sauce I had.

oh well, it was certainly worth a try and I did make dumplings with the rest of the dough for tonight's sauerbraten smileys/smile.gif

me too Jane, it was worth a try. I guess I'll have to continue making ravioli

the old fashioned way. of course, I can only have one or two but I make them for the love it and my friends.
