am braising a chuck roast in the oven right now. I added basically what I would if I was making beef stew - 1/2 a can of crushed tomatoes mixed with vinegar and water, onions, carrots, and a couple of potatoes, because I thought I was out of onion soup (I wasn't) and I knew the only beer I had in the house was raspberry flavored (not good, either)!
I browned it first, drained the fat, and have it cooking, covered, at 275F and am just wondering how long it should take to cook. It smells great already, can't wait to taste it. Next time, the beer version. TIA
