The September issue of Scientific American is about "Diet, Health and the Food Supply"

With articles about: the threat of tainted food, the global paradox of obesity and malnutrition, complex causes of weight gain, neuroscience of food addictions aka chocoholics, and more. It looks like an interesting issue.

 
I got it earlier this week. So far, pretty interesting stuff, would recommend

it's pretty good reading and basically talks about how the 'health' nuts aren't doing so well in all the tests so being overweight might not be as bad as it's cracked up to be
