The Weekend Six
- Most of the family was down with something right after Christmas - too short-lasting to have been the flu, but was something awful with aches and pains and general lack of appetite. Some good, hot chicken soup with rice and cookies with cocoa seems to be helping.
- Our Syracuse snow was featured on GMA's national weather news Thursday and Friday. I hear the crew stopped at Dinosaur BBQ before they headed back.
- I made potato pancakes with pear sauce and sausage for breakfast yesterday... 'decided that I much prefer oniony sour cream rather than "sweet" with my potatoes! 'Never would'a thought that a couple of years ago!
, 5, 6- I had great intentions to make some roasted fig-blue cheese-bacon w/orange vinaigrette concoction that I stumbled across somewhere. I'd also like to make ham and "Congressional" bean soup with leftover ham, and Dawn_MO's lentil salad to serve with crackers for an appy tomorrow night. 'Just ran out of steam following Christmas, even after I started feeling better. But they will be good for New Years Eve. Happy New Year, everyone!
