ugh. Our kitchen was invaded by South American ants...a new pest attacking Florida.
It doesn't look like I'll be making a GBH this year as the cake/candy/icing materials have to sit out for days to complete. And that might be too much temptation for the little buggers.
(Also called Brazilian or Argentine ants. The pest control folks say they aren't scavengers; they live outdoors and have to go back to the queen to feed. But that doesn't make me feel any less queasy about seeing them around.)
