These look good! Black Bottom Cupcakes

Meryl, saw this posted last night, got the ingredients this morning and just finished

baking. They are delicious!
I love the chocolate cupcakes, so moist! I thought I'd make these for the grandkids but not sure they will like the cream cheese.... we'll see.
But definitely, the chocolate part of the cupcakes.... so moist!!!! (they are pretty, too.)

 
Hi Barb - I've always wondered whether or not kids would like a cream cheese filling. Maybe

if extra chocolate chips were added to make the filling more chocolatey? Anyway, glad it turned out well!

 
Meryl, the chocolate cupcakes were SOOOO good that I made several without

the cream cheese filling and served that (with chocolate buttercream frosting). The kids really didn't like the cream cheese, but devoured the chocolate. Wonderful cupcake recipe!! Thank you for posting.

 
This is very old recipe that I posted on Gail's a long time ago. My mom used to

make these for me as a kid. They are truly yummy.

But then I don't give them things that are too sweet- they consider Kool Aid to be inedible smileys/smile.gif

 
The recipe posted is the same one I have.

Our kids still ask for them when they come home. Not sure were it came from, as my mom had it written on a recipe card, which I now have.
