They were served as a finger food dessert along side of rice krispy treats w/ blue and red M&M's for Giants.

Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar

Ingredients

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup butter, softened

¾ cup granulated sugar

¾ cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

1 (12 ounce) packages semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375* Grease a 15x10-inch jelly roll pan.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.

Beat butter, both sugars and vanilla in large mixer bowl.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.

Gradually beat flour mixture into butter mixture.

Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Spread into prepared pan.

Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

These *are* good - I like them more than the traditional drop-style Toll House cookies.

My girlfriend gets pizza boxes and cake boards, and does a giant cookie for every occasion

She is always asked to bring it and it's very popular. Somehow it just tastes better than a traditional cookie smileys/smile.gif

 
When my kids were younger, and always getting invited to B-day parties. . .

I would make giant cookies also. I would make a batch of choc-chip dough and use a scoop to place about 14 cookies worth of dough balls in a greased spring-form pan. These were always greatly appreciated!
