Oh gosh, hope she is OK, has anyone heard from her?

I used to keep correspondence with a gentleman poster on another site. He said most of the fighting was near the borders, but is seems to be moving inland now.

 
The situation is clearly escalating. Even so, hundreds of rockets are fired...

...into Israeli territory by the Palestinians every month. Most people aren't aware of that since it is not often reported in the media in this country.

Recent events have caused tensions to rise and the Israelis are doing what they can to get the situation under control. The Palestinians obviously feel they are justifed as well.

Praying for elaine's safety and that of her family.

This is not normally the place where we do this but OK...

The Israeli Ambassador to the US is on all of the networks numerous times a day so I certainly am aware of what is going on. The media certainly covers all about Israel and how many rockets have been taken out by Israel's Iron Dome. I'm not sure how many are aware that over 52 Palestinians have been killed. BOTH SIDES are wrong!!

you're right about both sides---if we had someone living on the other side I would wish them safety

I follow an Israeli blogger who spent the last 2 nights in a grocery store bomb shelter.

 
Orchid, the situation is not good, and you are right, this is not the place to discuss it. Emotions

tend to run high and I'm more concerned about the people I know and care about than the ideologies of either side.

Please understand everyone that my comments here are directed

to the point that the media has not covered the situation. Not about any of those in the area. I continue to hope for a solution so that both sides can live in peace finally.

 
The problem with the media today is there is considerable bias on practically every...

...topic.

Journalistic integrity is a thing of the past, at least on major outlets.

Politics rule, and no end is in sight.
