Thinking good thoughts for all our friends like CathyZ and Sandy in Hawaii

Hello from Maui where hubby and I are hunkered down with several days provisions closely watching

very slowly moving Hurricane Lane and keeping our fingers crossed it will soon turn west.

 
On another note, CathyZ and I got to meet up for breakfast a couple weeks ago

on her visit to the mainland. It was sooo great seeing her again and catching up. She's a doll.

 
Thanks everyone- so good to be cared about. We'll be fine.

I'm in Minnesota and tried getting home before the storm but couldn't so I had to extend and plan to be home on Monday if all goes well. I don't have a lot of faith in the projected path as it could change any moment but fingers crossed that it will blow by and we will all be fine. My DH is preparing our house and is ready for whatever happens. I've been in contact with Pat on Maui and they are hunkered down and will be fine too.

Glad you and Pat are safe... I was thinking of you with a smile, Cathy. The news

went into great detail about preparedness for the storm. They said they are encouraging all residents to have 2 weeks of food on hand. They then said that they know it is a stretch, but very important. I am sure your pantry has 2+ weeks w/o having the threat of storm. It made me smile.....
