Pretty!. Also similar to the Cuban "1905 Columbia Restaurant Salad"

Let's recap: I'm not that crazy about ham, I don't like salty olives, not that sold on Swiss cheese. And while I normally spit on iceberg, this is one of those times when no other lettuce seems to work right. Something about its crunchy coldness with the other ingredients just works.

Requires a crusty bread for me...or warm croutons added directly.

They typically make this salad right at your table, like a Caesar salad.

Original restaurant is in Ybor City in Tampa, another in St. Augustine.

probably just bread with all that's in the salad. mabe a baked sweet potato. sounds odd, but I

like some sweet with all that salty/tangy.
