Actually, Chef Elaine Taubin at eat here just started something similar
last Thurday - she's going to have a local menu on Thursday and you pay what you think it's worth. eat is located in a hotel but Chef Elaine and her staff turn out the most incredible food - NOT hotel food! I was busy last week so I can't wait until this week to try and sneak in and try it. Even on a budget.
