This sounds delicious - Jennifer McGlinn Recipe "Carol Lee's Jeweled Gingerbread Fruitcake"

I swear this must be a cake I made a couple of years ago....

It was a ton of work and it came out too dry for my liking.

This year I'm going for Erin's stollen! smileys/wink.gif

Maybe the "vat of butter" technique = baking cure-all? smileys/smile.gif But you must have good stollen up there..?

I'm confused, where does all these finish ingreds go?

Am I missing something? The list of ingreds in the "finish" section has instructions for everything but the following list, unless I'm missing something. Also what is 2 cream cheeses? 1 coriander seeds? (one seed? for what?)

1/2 whole almond
1/2 whole hazelnut
1 coriander seeds
1/2 fennel seeds
1/2 butter
1 graham wafer crumbs
2 cream cheeses
2/3 sugars
3 eggs
1 vanilla
3/4 buttermilks
1-1/3 fresh raspberry

smileys/smile.gif We don't have Stollen here, but I'm going to Berlin this weekend.

I am planning to buy Stollen and Lebkuchen there smileys/wink.gif
