Salad one day, a dip the next and once again with chicken wings. My MIL gave me the rec; so unfortunately do not know the source...But, it certainly is a keeper!

Enjoy!

1 cup mayo

half cup sour cream

one quarter cup blue cheese

4 tbs. finely chopped parsley

2 tbs. chopped onion (I think MIL used scallions)

1 tbs. lemon juice

1 tbs. white wine vinegar

1 tsp. finely chopped garlic

salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

cayenne to taste

Mix, Combine, fridgerate and dig in!

LOL. I always ovebuy celery, because I freak out at the thought that I am out of it.

How can you possibly make a soup if you don't have celery? This dip sounds like a great way to use some of it up.

Historically I also had either an excess of celery or none.

The last 2 summers, after you posted the link for growing celery from the of a base of a purchased stalk, I have had celery in my garden. It's too strong to use raw but great for cooking. I need to try to grow some in a pot for use over the winter.

I couldn't find your post on this site but I found the link you posted.

I used to grow something that was celery, but also not the kind that you

would eat. I got it from Shepard's Seeds. It was great in soups and such, but like you said, you wouldn't want to eat it. Come spring, I will definitely try growing it in the garden.
