These are so interesting - the woman who came up with the recipe is one of those people who pretty much do cooking contests for a living. It won in a Better Homes & Gardens cookie contest. I have used Black Currant jam. Yesterday I made them again for a catering job (for the sweet tray) & I was thinking they would be even better with lime zest instead of the lemon zest.
I have only used powdered sage in the recipe.
