Thoughts and prayers going out to Boston

Indeed! Thining of all the victims of this tragic event including a friend's sister who

thankfully sustained relatively minor injuries.

One of my bosses was there, fortunately he finished the race an hour before the explosions

went off. A dear friend and fellow food writer was at mile 20 when it happened, she was running with her officemates and it took over 45 minutes before they could find out if everyone was okay. And they were.

I'm trying not to look at the news, the videos they keep showing are just awful.

Our Bay to Breakers race is next month, usually it's a care-free let's dress up and be silly and do a fun run - I can only imagine it won't be like that this year.

Thanks, Pat!

Though my daugher wasn't injured she is pretty messed up in the head over it. She is getting married next weekend and all I can think is we could be having funerals, instead .

We are so grateful to God it wasn't any worse than it was. Prayers for all injured, killed and affected in any way.

Thank you!
