How crazy is that? First thing I do when I wake up is start thinking about (complicated) ways I'm going to decorate cookies and cakes - LOL. And when I say wake up - I mean get out of bed for the rest of the night.

Unfortunately I have to significantly limit time spent on my feet because I'm in a knee brace and on crutches (bizarre accident while in Florida - while in Sarasota bowling with my father because he loves to; I somehow walked (ran?) into the bolted down chairs near the lanes) for 6+ weeks.(deep bone bruise).

I think I'm a serious nutcase.

(Amended 7:37 a.m.)

My doctor emailed asking me if I could make her 5 cakes to give to her top referring doctor's as a holiday gift!

Now when I wake up, it's usually in a tizzy worrying about something I've forgotten to do in the

kitchen. Came to before 5 am today so I could put some blueberries into a marinade and have been religiously stirring those ever since that early hour as I hustle around to pack gear I will need for a luncheon today. Was assigned dessert & bread so I made a Fresh Blueberry and Lemon Cream tart along with some homemade pesto bread.

Believe me - I thought of that:) It's my GP that I saw first...

I think she knows that my hubby will seriously help me out with making the cakes and I can sit and frost them.

I've been bringing her office treats since day one whenever I have an appointment and always provide her with her Christmas Eve cake for her family.

Deb, tell yr dr I will make the cakes for U, but they have to B picked up in southern Indiana! Gads,

you sure did a number on your knee. What a freak accident. You are right up there with Marilyn. Smile. Wishing you a ton of luck as you limp through the holidays. Get better soonest!

Aw... thank you so much. You are *SWEET* In addition

about 4 weeks ago I was treated for Tenosynovitis after lifting hand weights (exercise HATES me) and have to wear a wrist/thumb brace at all times when not working (typing) or cooking/baking. Using crutches is not helping that situation.

How funny waking up thinking of baking! (I have done it, for cooking, not baking). So sorry for

your knee. Sounds very painful. Here you were, trying to enjoy and share something your dad really loves....bowling, and you get in a serious injury! So sorry!

And I am speechless re: your GP....

All the best, and wishing you a quick, full, and complete recovery

Best,
Barb

oweeeee! how weird is it that I'm envious about your Doc's cake order---wish someone would ask me

to bake up some cakes. fun

Thanks Elaine - I learned my lesson yesterday

didn't use crutches at home - and I paid for it. Now I'm using them non-stop and have barely been on my feet:) Jerry is being so darn helpful as I start baking the cakes.
