tip for buttering hot corn on the cob. just take a piece of bread, any kind really,

put a pat of butter on the bread and use to butter the corn. most of the butter goes right into the corn and there's no melted puddle under it.

a friend of mine told about this years ago and it's one of the easiest and least messy ways of getting lots of butter on the corn smileys/smile.gif
