TJs Truffled Mousse Pate, ready to heat fondue & baguettes were all great

I'll try that pate next time I am in Dallas. Here's where I went last trip:

Koryo Kalbi - They won't serve BBQ to a one-top. I didn't know that until I got there and was disappointed as that is why I went. I had bulgogi. It was so-so.

Tei An - had a bone in my sushi and the chef apologized with a yummy beef bite.

Baboush - pretty good lamb chops, great service and atmosphere

Mughlai - excellent buffet. I usually only go to new places on each visit but may eat here again

I also visited Eatzi's, Central Market, Jimmy's, Scardello, WBC Bottle Room, and Total Wine

Wow!

I can't eat Korean because I'm peanut allergic. I've wanted to go to Mughlai but haven't made it yet.

On weekdays at lunch Ali Baba in Lakewood shopping center (close to Jimmy's) has a truly lovely & huge Middle Eastern buffet. Everything is fresh & beautiful.

I got a gift card to Jimmy's & stopped in the day after Christmas thinking they wouldn't be so slammed & it might be easier to find a parking place. It looked like a hurricane blew through the store. They were frantically working to restock shelves, but whole sections were pretty much laid bare. I decided to save it & go back after the holidays.

The pate is really nice. I've bought it before. It is in an odd place in the store. I would expect it to be with the cheese & meat, but it is in the section with the sushi, prepared meals & hummus.

it is hard to park at Jimmy's

And even harder to back out if you get a spot right in front!
