TNFRC but funny...

Naughty dogs who like to shred paper get a very big surprise when the paper they steal off a table turns out to be a singing birthday card. He was gnawing away when he nudged it open with his nose and it started playing "When You're Hot, You're Hot". Sure wish my camera had been handy. His body language was priceless. (I didn't know what he had and it kinda startled me too.)

What a hoot!

I won't even open those cards in the store...but you have given me a new perspective on them!

Ever feed a dog a small spoonful of peanut butter? About a teaspoon would send...

...my doberman into the funniest snout contortions imaginable.

He loved the stuff, but it was hard for him to eat.

Every time my vet asks if I can get a pill in my dogs I grin and tell him I never saw a dog

yet who wouldn't eat peanut butter. Many years ago I had a very piggy beagle. If we were having burgers we'd flip her bites of different things then sneak in a pickle chip. Those were some pretty funny faces too.

Peanuts are not really good for dogs and peanut butter can be deadly....they choke

I give my dog one half a peanut for a treat, now and then. Be careful.

When I told the vet this was my way of getting the dog to take her meds

he told me about a dog he'd been treating for severe allergies and they couldn't figure out why the allergy meds weren't helping at all and neither did any changes in the diet or environment. Turned out the dog was allergic to peanuts and all his allergy pills were coated in peanut butter. When the cut out the peanut butter (using cheese instead) he was fine.

That Reminds me: With my oldest daughter, as a toddler we went to a German Restaurant. . .

and were given lemon slices in our water. She was just at the age to be tasting everything so we gave her a slice of lemon to gnaw on. She made the weirdest face and put the slice down.
