To check out: Cilantro Jalapeno Hummus

Love this!

Thanks for posting, I will give it a try as soon as I get back home.... sounds divine!

Hi Sally! This is definitely on my to-try list. I'll let you know how it turns out if

I try it before you, and vice versa!

Never needed a recipe for this. Hummus is so forgiving and adapts...

...to additions so well. Plus, it's easy to taste-as-you-go, so it's one of my favorite things to play with.

When I add cilantro and jalapeno I usually also add a bit of tahini. I like tahini in my hummus because it tends to deepen the flavor and add a slightly bitter note to it. Just a tablespoon or so.

Is it hummus without tahini? I love roasted garlic chipotle hummus which I have...

made every week since I've gotten my Vitamix.

I have been making hummus for my Farmer's Market. Here is a list of what I call hummus.

Mainly because it is a puree of beans of some sort. I use extra-virgin olive oil because people with nut allergies can eat them.

Beet hummus (beets, chickpeas, garlic, dill, jalapeno, extra-virgin olive oil, lemon juice, and salt)

Tuna hummus (tuna, green olives, garlic, lemon juice, cannellini beans, extra-virgin olive oil and salt)

Avocado hummus (avocado, cilantro, chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice, extra-virgin olive oil and salt)

Chipotle-pumpkin hummus (chipotle, pumpkin, garlic, chickpeas, lemon juice, extra-virgin olive oil and salt)

I think that is it. I get some brave samplers at that market. smileys/smile.gif
