funny, just watched The Sandlot with the kids (500th time?) a couple days ago.

It's funny. I don't really watch baseball much, but I love baseball movies.

It must be the uniforms, or Kevin Costner, Robert Redford and Denis Leary? : )

 
we got this for a cross country motorhome trip in 1999

the kids could recite the whole movie by the end of the trip... Most other movies this would have drove me nuts, but it didn't. My oldest daughter who is now 22 showed it to my younger kids this past week while she was home from college... It is a classic but more for the nostalgia and innocence of it as opposed to the baseball IMHO. Or maybe the nostalgia of baseball without multimillion$ contracts, strikes, $15 hot dogs, steroids etc...

...and yes this is totally on topic. I compulsively and automatically (I can't help myself) answer "somemore what" any time someone uses the word "s'more" The Sandlot has the best instructional video to be found anywhere on the proper way to prepare S'mores.
