Made these last night...

with many changes. Onions for scallions, jalapeno for poblamo, french bread crumbs for whole wheat, measured nothing but the 2 spices, cumin and anch chili powder. The recipe made 4 patties which I refrigerated for about 1 hr...fryed in my cast iron pan. Not bad would consider making again as even smaller patties as a side dish vs main.

 
Have you tried the Black Bean Patties with Cilantro and Lime I posted awhile back? I've made them

many times, and they're delicious!

 
Thanks Meryl, now this recipe is more like it!!

btw I agree on the red vs green pepper although this past week I made a black bean soup (on a black bean kick) and I have to admit that I used green, it was cheaper and sooo hidden and chopped in the soup you would never know the difference.
