Oh Meryl! I made the Cocoa Roasted Almonds. DH is allergic to cayenne so I subbed

hot chile powder - should have put in the full tsp. as it's not as hot as cayenne. But the results are very good and these are certainly VERY easy.

 
Yo - sounds great! I may use chili powder also - cayenne is too intense for me, except in very

small doses. How was the balance of salty and sweet?

 
I used Chipotle chili powder. Oh YEA!!!!!! I may have to hide them from myself. I may have try

to make them with Cayenne just to see how it was supposed to taste.

 
Glad you liked them! I have the recipe out on my kitchen counter - now all I need are some

raw almonds - I only have roasted.

 
I pulled out the chipotle also, but thought the heavy smokiness might be too much -

glad to hear that works too!
