To counter the pricey costs of specialty foods I found earlier this week, I just found

my new favorite place in the area to shop for fresh produce. Pineapples (whole, big ones!) for $1 each; a 5-lb box of clementines $3; a really gorgeous-looking quart of strawberries for $1.50; a basket of 5 or 6 tomatoes (not Roma) for $1; and a 32-oz jar of blood orange vinaigrette for $2. If you're in or near Syracuse, it's Buda's, near the old farmer's market. Open early in the a.m. too!

This put my faith back in eating well for less than an arm and a leg!

Okay, now what else can I use the vinaigrette for except for a salad dressing? Marinade for --- ? (It's really deep red.)

Virtual Road Trip!! Those prices are amazing!! What a find! I have been so frustrated with our

fruits and veggies lately. Cost is $$, like everyone, but the quality/taste has been so poor!
