Today’s rhubarb pie from recipe posted above

Brava! I finally found an 8" glass pie pan. Pies tonight (hopefully). Is yours all rhubarb?

Or part strawberry? I just tasted the Asheville strawberries and wow, are they bitter. But at least they are red all the way through and have more taste. I'm going to make two smaller pies...one all rhubarb and one with strawberries..

I haven’t cut it yet because I’m taking it to a neighbors tonight, but I’ve made it before and it’s very good. I see no reason for strawberries.

 
Delish! The twins next-door declared it the best pie ever!

After making one last year I knew this pie was the favorite pie of my next-door neighbor, so I brought it over there to cut. The twins guessed every flavor except rhubarb because they didn’t remember Eating it before. So I told them they could only have a tiny piece because they had to taste it to see if they liked it first, both declared it best pie ever and asked for 2nds. Easiest kudos I ever earned. smileys/smile.gif

 
Well, my huge bunch of rhubard only ended up ~3 cups..maybe not even that.

That's not even enough for Maria's pie. I mixed up the crust and have added strawberries to bring it up to 5 cups. Going to pick up more rhubarb for other tests if this one works out.
