today's burning question...

when you're making a pbj sandwich, which one goes first?

and what happens to you if don't?

And my answer is...

put pb on one slice of bread, jelly on the other and slap them together!

If serving them for a fancy affair, trim crusts and cut into cute shapes!

Happy Holidays to you and your family.

My preference...

First it HAS to be Wonder bread! Extra crunchy peanut butter on one slice then slather with strawberry preserves on top of the peanut butter

and ditto here... expect smooth pb. And Rick... you just don't want to know what will happen! smileys/smile.gif

I grew up on Skippy PB, and Welches grape jelly on Wonder Bread. We definitely spread each slice

separately with one or the other or my oldest brother would have a fit because the knife contaminated the jelly jar with streaks of peanut butter. He's still a little anal that way.

Now I like Trader Joe's Organic Crunchy PB open face on toasted baguette, with Bon Maman Apricot preserves. Food snobbery knows no bounds.

Natural lightly salted smooth peanut butter on whole wheat bread or rye with seeds. Peanut butter

on one side, strawberry jam on the other.

White fluffy bread, slather with creamy PB, build up the sides of the PB - containment walls

for the preserves. Strawberry (and ONLY strawberry) preserves inside the PB walls (and yes - I contaminated the preserves with PB cause I didn't change knives - then topped with the white fluffy bread....

Ummmmmmmm

If you DON'T spread in the proper order, civilization, such as it is, will come to an end and we'll

be ruled by enormous crustaceans that will emerge from the ocean looking to suck out our brains.

At least that's what I was taught in Sunday school.
