bagels. What to do? I know I can freeze them. Any ideas. I am not sure why he purchased so many!!! We did the spread that I mentioned above and invited my tea friends. Beautiful weather, light and easy for a Sunday late afternoon. But, now I have leftover bagels. I am not sure how I would be able to cut them thin enough to make bagel chips.

Any thoughts? I am thinking croutons?

Good man! I'd freeze some, but I also love making bagel chips. These are like DYI crackers that you

can serve with dips or spreads. Or I am perfectly happy eating them out of hand. Crunch e'm up, I bet they'd be a good crouton alternative for a salade (Caesar salad later this week?)

Garlic Bagel Chips
From Breakfast for Dinner

A great way to use up leftover bagels, these crispy chips are seasoned with garlic and herbs. They're delicious served with a flavorful cream cheese and artichoke dip.

4 everything bagels, sliced into `1/4 inch wedges
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

1. Preheat oven to 350F

2. In a bowl, toss bagel slices with oil, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Divide between 2 baking sheets and arrange in a single layer. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, rotating baking sheets from top to bottom once during cooking, until golden brown and crispy.

Barb, whenever we visit NYC, we always bring home

dozens of bagels for the freezer. Luggage always smells like garlic/onion/sesame, but what can one do?
