(Hello.... pomegranate-cranberry juice with a best if used by date of 11/2005 anyone?)

I have 2 unopened bottles of verjus. I do not know what verjus is and have no idea what I would ever do with it. I got one bottle from my MIL years ago, didn't use it... and a couple of years ago received a 2nd bottle.

They are in my discard pile, but I'd thought I'd check here to make sure I'm not missing out on a "YOU MUST MAKE THIS" recipe. smileys/smile.gif

 
Maria mentioned Pomegranate Jelly; and I actually purchased the ingredients last week. I thought it

would be pretty for valentines day gifts for my neighbors. I have no idea re: your expiry dating.....BUT, don't you just love it when you organize the pantry!

 
Took 2 days, but it's done. Hauled every little last item out. Scrubbed down the shelves,

mopped the floor, and then put everything back in. Some things found new homes and LOTS went to the dump. Found a massive weevil infestation in every box of whole wheat pasta (apparently they love it, good thing we don't) and between my pantry purging and the hubs doing a purge of the laundry/mud room we hauled 160 pounds to the dump. Happiness is a clean pantry!

p.s. The oldest expiration date I found was 2003. smileys/smile.gif

 
Now that you have done the hard work be sure to scatter a few bay leaves around

to keep the weevils out. Honest, it works.
