Tooth broke last Thursday. Root canal yesterday, new crown tomorrow. No dental insurance.

Ouch! When I count my blessings, I include my dentist who barters with me for catering.

Otherwise, I've had so many crowns I'd be bankrupt!

Mine is interested in doing some painting classes with me however her ....

dental bill will keep her as a student for the next 5 years at least!

I could never hurt to ask. Actually, they used to be my gardening clients many years ago...

They had a sudden financial upset when the local aerospace company switched dental plans, and couldn't pay their bill. His wife leveled with me, and paid a little each month, and finally just asked if I needed a dentist. I hadn't been to a dentist in years, so I signed right up.

When I stopped gardening, we switched to cooking.

go buy something fun, amanda...

your budget for the week is so messed up it won't notice.

actually, something small but fun can work as well at being a bright spot in a bad week.

SMOOOOOCH!!

A REALLY good bar of chocolate won't even make a dent.... go for it! (and no chewing involved)

I feel your pain... My husband's dentist's kids must have had an amazing Christmas, thanks to

husband's three new crowns, two root canals, etc. etc.--in the last six months. No dental plan for us, either. smileys/frown.gif

Hope you're feeling better!

ONe of our blessings - my daughter's 1st boyfriend became a dentist...

since he grew up in our house he charges us only for what he pays for any outside work.
My daughter says he makes up things in our mouths just to get to see us!!
Whatever - it is all good and we really love him too.
