I just filled up my car with gas (already and exasperating ordeal with these prices, $2.97/gallon) and I would like your opinion on this one...
The far pump, located basically of out of sight of the cashier inside, has a sign on it "Pre-pay or pay at the pump". Since I wanted to pay INside with a credit card, I waited at the other pump, the one with (of course), the longest line.
While I was waiting to pay inside, the woman ahead of me remarked that she couldn't get the pre-pay pump to work right, and when it was my turn to pay, I agreed that the far pump was a little confusing. "How so?!" the cashier snapped... I said that I had wanted to pay inside with the credit card and that I didn't think you could do that at that pump, so I moved to the other pump island.
"Yes you can! I wrote the sign myself, and you can charge your purchase inside at any pump!"
Ok, now, am I dumb, or is this exactly what the sign says that you CAN'T do?! Or am I losing my mind?
