Totally NFR: Does anyone know how to get a photo off of a Net10 camera phone?

Friend has a picture that I really want, but she can't figure out how to download it/upload it/send it, whatever so that I can get it. I don't have a camera phone myself, but do have email!

I think she has to send it to my email as a text message, but how does she do that? Thanks! I'm pretty computer-literate, but I'm cell-phone-stupid!

She needs to send it to you as a picture message. There should be an option that let's her send a

text OR a picture message. She then has to select the picture you want and send it to your email account. (Email addresses should be one of the options in her address book)

Thanks Steve - even though I don't have a camera phone myself? (no screen) Should she send it as

a picture message, or a text message?

Oh, so she sends it to my email then, not my phone - she didn't think she could email, but she can?

It's an inexpensive Motorola W375g camera phone with Net10 service, which disables USP access and limits download capabilities (so you'll have to buy something extra from them!).

***I love this board!*** Thanks, Steve!

I'm not sure of the limitations of that particular phone. Net10 is the name of the carrier, what

model phone is she using? Motorola? And what model number? Because Net10 seems to be a "pay-as-you-go" service, there are some limits although according to their literature, "You can snap and send images on-the-go via the phone's integrated VGA camera that features a 4x zoom." so it sounds like your friend just has to figure out how to send using the phone's on-the-go command menu.

Hah, yes, that's the problem. New to her... thank you, I think she was

able to send it to another friend's phone that HAS a picture screen, and he will be able to email it to me. Phone has weird limitations, she says she can't even download it to her own computer because Net10 disables the USB transfer function! You need to buy a special cord (from guess who - Net10!).

I tried to look up the instructions online, but not having the phone in my hand I could only imagine the steps. I think it all worked out - difficult doing it long-distance!
