Totally NFR ?: Has anyone ordered prescription drugs from Canada?

Lar is running into big problems with his glaucoma medication. He's now up to three different drops daily and the preservatives are wrecking havoc with his eyes with allergic reactions. He can't stop because his eye pressure shoots up. Been taking them for almost 15 years now, problems started 7 months ago when he added the third drop, plus the preservatives changed in the second drop.

Online, we found daily-portion, non-preservative eyedrops for the 3 medication he takes, but only in Canada. We've had our Drs offices check with their drug reps and they don't carry it in USA.

How do you go about ordering from another country? Will our HMO insurance company pay for it the same as getting it from US. Not getting much help from the Drs office.

No, they just had me fax a copy of the Rx to them and they filled it. I don't know...

...if they ever contacted my Dr. to verify. It wasn't a painkiller or a drug that would qualify as a "controlled substance" by any means.

The pharmacies in Phoenix wanted anywhere from $65 to $100 to fill it, and the Canadian pharmacy charged me $32 (USD).

Definitely worth it, even after paying shipping.

We order from Canada on a regular basis - so much less expensive. No insurance involved, but the

money saved is significant. Just fax over a prescription as Michael said.
