on yoga since (for some strange unknown reason smileys/wink.gif I'm beginning to lose flexibility.

There are so many to choose from I knew I could rely on someone here for expert advice.

Any suggestions on type of yoga, cd's, books, and props would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at amazon there are lots and lots of books and cds. I have been thinking about

checking this out also. Thought I might do research online to see the various types. Then go to a local gym here that has an instructor.
for a few classes. Feel that way I would make sure I am doing it right??
I need to do it for the flexibilty also.

I bought a video for Pilates several years ago, what a workout!

Most people I know who do yoga, do it for physical and mental health.

By talking to a teacher, you could also discuss your goals.

Take Care,
Nan

Yin Yoga

I started taking Yin Yoga classes at the beginning of the year and have become a convert. I am feeling better, aches and pains are less, I am more flexible and more stable. The class meets at 8am every Sunday morning for 30 minutes - it really jump-starts my week!

From the program guide - "Yin Yoga: Gently stretch the connective tissues of the body and improve joint flexibility. Basic yoga postures are held for about five minutes as the muscles remain relaxed. Tightness and stiffness will dissolve."

Cyn, I try so much to love Yoga... It looks so relaxing, etc. Before you put the $$ in, can you

find a show on TV? Perhaps DVR/Tape/Tivo a few shows. I know they are on Very early in the am here. When I tried the yoga thing, I found I got bored with the tapes and preferred a different show vs. watching the same show, same music, etc every day.
