Traca, how did your impossible chocolate flan turn out?

I thought it was good. If I'd never had the Daisy flan, I'd be wild about it. The real surprise

was not being able to find cajeta, and making my own. I made it years ago, but forgot how good it was. I made Rick Bayless' cajeta using 1/2 goat milk, 1/2 whole milk and it was fabulous.

The Flan Impossible Cake came together easily, released like a charm, and cut picture perfect.

 
I thought that too. The thing about this recipe is the 2 textures seem

well matched. The cake is moist, and the flan is firmer than Daisy's. Mind you, it didn't stop me from having two huge pieces. smileys/smile.gif
