We have a new Trader Joe's 80 minutes away from us and visit there every other month. I am getting a list of my favorite things. Today I found Tandoori Garlic Naam Bread, an Indian flatbread. It is soft and yummy. They also had curry and original. Here is what is on my favorites list when we go there.

English Cheddar with Caramelized Onions

Smoky Chipotle Salsa (jarred)

Ricotta stuffed Chicken Breasts with Basil Marinara

Pork Chops stuffed with Apple Almond stuffing

Cinnamon Raisin Bread

English muffin Bread

Charles Shaw Shiraz and Cabernet wines

A spicy marinated beef cut that is semi shredded and can be sliced or further shredded and used in tacos, etc.

Plugra unsalted butter

TJ's Sweet and Spicy Pecans (excellent on Spinach salads)

What are your tried and true faves? The above are things I buy every time.....so far!!!!

Have you tried their Moral Fiber Muffins?

I really like the cranberry orange ones....blueberry, not so much.
I also like that they carry the Fage Greek yogurt...
I second your vote for the chipotle salsa. It's a favorite of ours. I like dipping into it with their flax and soy chips!
I usually also get the chocolate covered dried fruit medley....it's TDF!

28-oz, cans of whole peeled tomatoes, either salted or not. Olive oil, either TJ's

100% Italian or Santini.
Pitted Kalamata Olives, (the red label are better than the green.)
Comte Gruyere Cheese
Coucous-stuffed salmon filets
"Fresh Young" chickens, or the smaller kosher chickens
"Pound Plus" semisweet chocolate (great for baking)
Fresh pork tenderloins
"Cage Free" eggs

Frozen:
Thai Shrimp Goyza
Tart d'Alsace
Gnocchi Gorgonzola
Jumbo raw shrimp with the tail on

To drink:
Gaetano d'Aquino Pinot Grigio
Orangeboom beer
Gerolsteiner Mineral Water

Supplies vary be area, but I hope most of these are available to you

I like their dark chocolate, smoked salmon cream cheese, low cost but excellent white wines, the

chipotle salsa, dark chocolate covered pretzels, alsatian (sp?) tart, their dried catfood that is the only kind my cat really likes, their wide offering of cheeses at reasonable prices, the greek yoguart, and their shrimp gyoza, and shaved parmigiano reggiano, (I can afford it in the 5 oz size,) just to name what comes to mind.

What I don't like: the fact that sometimes they offer something I really like and suddenly it disappears, and when I ask about it I'm told..."oh sorry, we don't carry that anymore, it didn't work out." Grrrrr. I've learned to stock up on some things, just in case that happens, but eventually you run out. One of them was their TJ's Sriracha sauce. I'm now down to my last bottle! But that's Tj's. Usually it's other brands that are discontinued because of price or the companies' inability to deliver needed amounts or quality issues, or so they say. But sometimes it's their brands...such as the sake wasabi mustard, etc. So, if I find something I really like, I always make sure I have an extra jar/bottle on hand, just in case.

If they carry the Pastures of Eden brand feta cheese.... ooooooh myyyy!

It's in a yellow and green plastic bag with brine as well.

Take it out and rinse it in clean water and store it in tupperware as you use it.

Best feta I've ever had!

Michael

Oh yes - the tandoori naan is wonderful but...

I found I didn't like the garlic as well as the original.

Grape seed oil - it has replaced my vegetable oil (better for you even that olive oil I'm told)

TJ yogurt (plain)

Chocolate chips - everytime I use them, people compliment and I found by looking at the ingredients that it has a little liquer in it... no wonder smileys/smile.gif

Seasonally they have the chocolate cups that I fill with a strawberry or lemon mousse for tea parties.

Lowest price on:
-nuts - almonds, cashews, etc. etc.
-heavy whipping cream (half the supermarket price)
-goat cheese

The Indian Simmering Sauces, frozen naan, frozen peas (the

only frozen peas I buy now), chicken sausages, saag & paneer (boil in a bag type), Giottos frozen pizza Marguerite (I think that's the name...I place it right on the rack and bake for 10 minutes to make it crunchy), chai tea, crumpets, yogurt cheese, meringue cookies, and the big chunks of chocolate always in a bin at the check-out smileys/smile.gif I love this store.
