Cinnamon and chocolate are quite common here in the southwest. In Mexico...
...it is very common.
The Aztecs (and possibly the Mayans) added chile to their cocoa drinks (unsweetened, cold drinks taken as a health elixir or used during religious rites).
Cinnamon and cayenne in cocoa drinks are now being marketed outside the southwest, evidently.
I prefer my cocoa "straight". Whipped cream on top, but no marshmallows.
Same with the Europeans. The Gemans love to combine chocolate and berries (raspberry especially) in the form of jams, preserves or jellies. I'm not a fan of that combo either. Give me a good, high-quality, creamy-smooth chocolate confection and I'm a happy man.
I'm going to miss chocolate the most when this low-carb diet kicks in full bore.
