Orchid, find the image and then click on the word EDIT in the field above.
Photobucket being Photobucket, there are sometimes TWO icons with the word EDIT. One should go directly to your image, the other will go to the entire album. You can still drill down and find your image there.
In EDIT, click on RESIZE.
My camera typically takes 2M images and that ends up ~1200 pixels x 800 pixels.
I take whichever is the largest size (width or height), backspace and enter 600 there. Since the two dimensions are tied together (unless you click the LOCK icon), it will automatically reduce the smaller proportionally (to ~400).
Click the SAVE button. It will then ask you if you want to replace the original. I usually say YES.
NOW--big conditional statement. I've found that if I've pasted a hyperlink HERE with the bigger image and then resize it, eat.at keeps the larger image. I have to go ALL THE WAY OUT of photobucket and eat.at for it to display the smaller image here.
Now I try to reduce the size first before copying anything here. If you look at Meryl's cake, that is 600x400.
I think I have cache issues.
