Tumeric/Curry stains have nothing on achiote paste, which I just overpoured

I feel for you. At work when I use achiote paste

I learned quickly to use gloves to avoid nail stains but it often gets on my chef jacket and apron and it's a bugger to get out. Oxiclean pre-laundry spray has worked the best for me. Good luck!

I love Shout too, it works great, but only if you rub it in after applying and let it sit about 6 to

7 minutes. If your nightgown is cotton and white, you can put a little Clorox on it and watch for it to eat up the color and then rinse right away. I use Clorox cleanup on a white cutting board that I have. It takes out pomegranate, all yellow stains, as well..

True. I've never found anything OxiClean wouldn't remove. Just put 1/4 cup Oxi

In a ziploc bag, fill it 1/4 or so full of very hot water, add the stained item, seal, and squish it around a little to soak the item well. Leave for 24-48 hours.

Were you channeling Rick Bayless? He made that or something very similar on his tv show this

weekend. He served it with tortillas, habanero salsa and the simplest pickled onions, just thinly sliced crosswise, poured boiling water over them, let sit for 10 seconds, then seasoned with lime juice and salt. I made some to go with dinner last night, really good and a little easier and faster than my usual recipe.

well, since we're off-food, what about blood on cotton fabric upholstery?

Spot is on the wing of a Queen Anne's chair, so I can't put it in the washer (like a cushion).

It's white fabric with a small colored pattern.
O+ blood.

I love tacos made with it. Surpringly, despite a taqueria on every corner, it is scarce

in restaurants here. Most of the Mexicans here are Nortenos and not from the Yucatan.
