Turkey breast in the slow cooker? Has anyone tried this?

The reviews are good....but they are so easy to do in the oven and you would get a crispy skin!

Or do the boneless even have a skin on them? One good thing about this recipe is that your leftovers would be easy to turn into soup for lunches the next day. If you do in the oven, you could roast onions, carrots and Brussels Sprouts right along with the chicken

But I will already have a 20+ turkey, corn pudding, stuffing, and other vegies

in the oven which is why I was tempted with the slow cooker. Maybe I roast them the day before???

This is a braised turkey breast. Fine for slicing--for your meal, for sandwiches.

But it is braised.

Why not cook a ham and have that as another possibility. You could certainly

do that the day before and even slice it.

Why are you trying to talk her out of this? The recipe looks great Betty.

I have cooked turkey breast in a slow cooker- this recipe you have looks really tasty and will fit the bill in my opinion. Karen is right that you won't have crispy skin but oh well. The toppings in the recipe will do nicely. And I applaud you for wanting extra turkey for that crowd.

I cooked turkey breast in my crockot before and will again this next week for company.

It comes out very moist. Your recipe looks tasty so I may use it too.

Thank you- the gravy looks good. I think I'll be ok to make that

Christmas Day. I'll keep it in mind for another occasion.
Happy Cooking everyone.
Boxing Day I'll be the one with a book and feet up smileys/smile.gif
