I did this for some lunch guests. I was interested by the 5 spices in a dessert. Normally, I find the spice much better if made fresh but even with what I had on hand this was terrific.
I baked the dough at 350 instead as the first batch browned too quickly. Also baked it a couple of minutes less. I baked it on parchment and slid it all off easily onto a cutting board and used a pizza cutter. Perfect.
I also did not mix the oranges in with the cheese but thought it would all look better sprinkled over each layer and onto the plate.
It looks elegant but it sure is simple.
