Very much liked this Chicken with Mushroom Sauce recipe that I made

last night.

At plate up I tasted the sauce and semi thought it might be nice with a touch of lemon juice, so I went with that and added a tiny bit, but it really didn't need it, it was lovely on its own without the lemon component. Will definitely make the dish again. Served on a bed of steamed jasmine rice along with some asparagus.

Oh, and I used cremini mushrooms.

A yummy recipe that somehow seemed greater than the sum of its parts.

Yummy sounding REC and as always, thanks so very much for including your personal tips and

suggestions which are a welcome and tasty addition to your postings.

Need mushrooms!

Have a Costco rotisserie chicken breast to slice/serve the mushroom sauce over, along with a package of Uncle Ben's Jasmine Ready Rice. With corn on the cob, yellow zucchini, leftover blueberry corn muffins, and Red Haven peaches, sounds like dinner smileys/wink.gif Thank's Pat! Colleen

I'm going to make this on Sunday, I think. Thanks! You know, I think the reason...

...this recipe is, as you say, better than the sum of its parts, is that the shallot/wine/fresh thyme combo is at play. I've used that combination with thyme and with either fresh rosemary or fresh oregano and gotten the same reaction from the family.

Thanks again, Pat!
