four casters so rolls in any direction and can be pushed along in an upright postition as well as pulled behind. Does anyone have such a suitcase and what has been their experience? Any downsides? I know this is out of context but you all have such good advice and thoughts. TIA

I just noticed a couple of those in the airports recently, look great, anyone??

Not spinner luggage experience but recent bad experience with new luggage

just before we went on vacation I purchased a set of American Tourister luggage for $200 and got another set for 'free'. And I swayed my daughter towards the AT brand because I knew it and trusted it over all these new no-name brands you see.

Well let me tell you, it was some of the cheapest made stuff I have ever seen but it was too late to change so we packed and went on our way. DD hooked two pieces together to pull from the drop off across to the check in - it broke before she pulled it 2 feet. Coming back I decided to hook mine together - same thing - broke after only a few feet.

I wrote American Tourister and they offered to send me replacement straps but I would have to pay almost $10 per piece shipping. And then I would have to take it somewhere and pay to have it all unsewn and resewn. What about that warranty?

I am taking the letter along with the two sets of luggage right back where it came from and make them credit my account - they can deal with American Tourister!!!

I'm going back to our old Ricardo & Skyway luggage. The Skyway has held up since the early '80s and the Ricardo since about '94 or '95. The only thing that ever 'broke' on any of it is the zipper pulls come off the Ricardo but that's all.

Was this luggage made in China ? I am staying away from anything made there!

Recalls are happening everday - most is made or grown in China.

Me too...

I was so upset that I found out that the one grocery store that I was buying not Asian raised shrimp hasn't been able to get it now. I keep being vocal whenever I go there, but for now, I have no source for shrimp that isn't farm raised in Asia.

Very effective for moving quickly and turning around while examining maps. smileys/smile.gif

Erin, somehow I think we have the airport macarana?? I can see spinning with map in hand, hehe
