I'm HOME today and cooking up a storm! We leave in the morning for our daughter's house and all I have to take is cheesecake and lasagna for Christmas Day, Dawn's Chicken Enchilada Soup for Christmas Eve (the other 'grandma' is making oyster stew for then). She's making a baked ham meal for tomorrow's 2 pm meal and I'm taking stuffing and cabernet cranberries to go with that. I'm getting off pretty easy this year! But with my dear friend expected to die any day I've been spending as much time with her as I can and am doing good to accomplish this much!

I did get in 3 batches of my Chocolate Buttercream Fudge (in T&T) and I might get one more batch made tonight. People keep raving and I keep giving! ha!

I bought a new 12 qt Calphalon stockpot on Amazon.com for $40 (and free shipping!) and made 2 quadruple batches of caramel in it! (also in T&T) Worked like a charm! Took a very long time (about an hour) to get to temp but not one scorch or boil over. Love that pan!

Michael in Phoenix, have thought about you all day as I proceeded to slice the tip of my left thumb off this morning when I was dicing onions for lasagna sauce! Finally stopped bleeding! Owie!

Everyone - I send you all love and hugs along with prayers for you to have a warm and wonderful holiday!

Hope to be back soon!
