Was it here someone said when you buy online to check the coupon box at checkout to see if

the company offers a % off?

I known I read this somewhere last week. I can't remember what it is you put in the coupon box to have it tell you whether there's a discount or not.

Whoever was giving this tip said more often than not retailers online offer a % off but it's not told beforehand; that you have to find it out for yourself at the coupon box! ???

I don't remember that, but I know if you go to couponcabin.com, there is

a list of discounts availalbe for online purchases. Good luck!

Here are some more tips I did write down so I wouldn't forget...

shopittome.com...you can sign up here for what you're looking for by brand name, they'll search to find the best buy

Since the market has turned south, I don't if this is true any longer....

On sale Fri AM... most amount of items and most $ off

and

You can go to Google, type in the retailer’s name that you want to shop at, then type in either promo, savings coupon, coupon, promocoupon, anything you can think of that will get you % off up to 40% on whatever you’re buying….you use it as you checkout.

Also, you can find some of these savings at these sites that track a lot of savings coupons….they are:

fatwallet.com,
couponcabin.com
become.com

I think it was advice about opening a new window in your browser and doing a quick...

...search for the product name or company name and "coupon code" or "discount code".

Sometimes one comes up on search.

If you are a fan of LLBean....

don't forget to check their sale page on Thursday mornings.
They have "Thursday Morning Mark-downs" and the deals are great.
Not always something that you need, but you don't know unless you look.

Ithought someone had said to google promo codes for that brand, before buying. Was it DAwn? who

said her husband saved $300 on a Dell machine, by googling a promo code, as advised by a TV consumer program?

Would that be what you're referring to?

Wasn't this Dawn, but I did recommend some sites that

you can go to, to check for promo coupons available online such as couponcabin.com, couponrefund.com, couponcode.com, etc. Google "coupon codes", as you suggested, above.
