Watching Michael Chiarello & he's grilling pizza, has anyone tried griiling pizza on a grill pan?

In my über-urban pad I'm BBQ free, unless I was to brave the local denizens in the alley and set up a hibachi on the sidewalk. I wonder what would happen if I actually did that! LOL

ANYWAY, I have made this great pizza bianco with mushrooms and truffle salt on my friends grill and wonder if I can do it Chez HAL on the stovetop grill pan?? I need a quick easy dinner tonight before I leave on my trip tomorrow *early*...

 
maybe just grill the dough on both sides for grill marks, then finish in the oven?

don't know if there would be enough heat to properly melt the toppings---of course, all depends on the toppings.
