C cheezz Well-known member Jan 17, 2007 #4 Hmmm.... I was reading that you can use it like cornstarch ... Whereas cornstarch stay's rather opaque when it thickens, water chestnut flour turns transparant and shiny. Guess I'll have to look for it and experiment.
