We had a most wonderful concoction of a sandw. today and thought it would be good appetizer...

I had sourdough bread, put mayo on the outside of it for the panini grill.

Spread on the inside of the bread basil pesto, Rothschild's Hot Pepper Raspberry Preserves, a Chevre goat cheese....then sliced tomato, red leaf lettuce, mild swiss cheese and ham from applegate farms, which is very mild, also avocado. I meant to a put a basil leaf in and forgot.

Anyway, we LOVED it and said right away what a great appetizer this would make for a party...everyone would take a bite and wonder WHAT IN THE WORLD......Enjoy

 
Sounds great

I'm always on the lookout for interesting sandwich ideas. Even complicated sandwiches feel really easy to me, but I tend to get stuck in a rut and eat the same sandwich over and over- when I'm hungry my blood sugar is too low to be creative lol.

Outside spread

An equal mixture of mayo and a hearty mustard spread on outside of bread, turns crusty and golden when grilled. SueYoung/LA
