I'll post it on it's own thread below. Just a spongecake-made day before and covered. whipped ...

cream (we shoulda used 3 cups, not 2), toasted sliced almonds (my mom used halved, toasted, blanched but I thought those too chunky), and Honeycomb Brittle (not Martha's). Only the spongecake was Martha's but you could use your own favorite. Assemble just before serving, but everything can be prepped ahead. Just keep the brittle in a dry place as it's hydroscopic and can get sticky-I placed it in an off but still warm oven to crisp it back up.
