Well- the duck died! I should have followed Joe's advice.

I was nervous about the duck, so decided to take the easy way out. I marinated it in soy sauce, fresh orange juice and lots of garlic overnight with anticipation of relaxing while it was on the rotisserie. Good idea, right? Well my dh decided to put the DRY cedar plank that we used for salmon on Friday under it. I think you could describe the results as duck flambe'. No panic involved about this contained grease fire, but poured baking soda over it to PUT IT OUT!!! Luckily I bought a small hunk-o-ham just in case. Actually, we just kinda shoved that around on our plates. We did enjoy Debbie_in_GA's potatoes very much- thank you!

Denice, it gives me no pleasure to be right here. I've been rooting for that duck for weeks. Sorry.

Thanks, Joe...

I'm glad that I did not spend hours on it. I had to try not to laugh as dh was very embarrassed and upset. He's an engineer, so totally type A personality!
Our Easter was a success otherwise with long bike rides and prayer in the park.

I don't know why, but Denice's opening sentence makes me smile....

It just seems ripe for dramatic pause...there is so much potential that I'm literally speechless.
