Well this was...interesting. I got a stack of CI from the library and planned to make bran muffins.

I just checked online to see if there were any reviews and this popped up as the first Google entry. Check out the ingredients that are listed:

Better Bran Muffins | Cook's Illustratedwww.cooksillustrated.com › recipes › 3584-better-bran...bran muffins from cooks illustrated from www.cooksillustrated.com

INGREDIENTS. 4 teaspoons salt. 2 chocolate bar. biscuit croissant topping. 1 jelly cotton candy. ½ jelly gummies. 2 cups liquorice chocolate. 2 jelly beans bonbon. 2 caramels tart. gummi bears. 6 butterscotch caramel lollipops.

So...they don't even want people guessing their ingredients from Google searches???

That is crazy, but then there are so many Internet glitches going on right now,

not to mention telemarketers calling at 6:30 am. When I call the number back I get some irate private party who claims they did not call. So many upsetting things to deal with these days.

I just got a survey with a TOTALLY NEW EMAIL address for me. Someone had created an AOL

email using my full name...without me knowing anything about it.

I didn't even know AOL was still a thing.

That was not a good link because one has to subscribe to read the entire article...

but if you Google AOL hackers, there are plenty of articles.

That happens to us all the time. It is a robocall that "looks" like a local number

so you answer it. But then if you miss it and call it back, it is as you say an irate person. I've gotten calls from people who think I have called them.
I don't answer calls that I don't recognize, If it is a real call, they call back in my experience.

Same as what i do for the most part, but sometimes I am expecting a call from a business

and many folks use their cell phones now for business so the ID on my screen may not say the name of the business but either of the person calling or the person who owns his phone plan. Very confusing, I have missed calls from folks trying to call us from a local business. If I decide to answer, and no one responds back within two seconds I hang up. Wish the phone companies could get a handle on this situation, very disturbing, especially now that they are calling earlier each day. Blocking calls helps but they change their numbers so I end up with a full blocked call list, which no one uses anymore. I know there are apps out there to take care of this, but I hate paying for one more thing!!!

I love the iPhone feature that silences unknown callers

It's an option in settings. It flips the calls from numbers that are not in your contacts right into voicemail.

I love it!

Janet, in Settings, under Phone

scroll down and it should be in the same group as "call blocking".
When calls come in, if that number isn't in your contact list, then the phone does not ring and the call gets sent to Voicemail.

If you answer those calls, you will get more of them. The best bet is if you don't recognize

a number, don't answer it. If it is a legitimate call, they will leave you a voicemail and you can call them back.

I never answer calls from unknown numbers, and only occassionally get robocalls. My husband nearly always answers his phone, and he gets the calls constantly.
